Getting started

Add QREATE to your server and switch the lights on — in about two minutes.

Tip. You don't need to read this documentation to use QREATE! Everything on this site can be configured or built live, in plain language, directly from your dashboard. Open the floating Q chat or go to Projects → Build with Q, describe what you want, and Q will handle the rest. Use these docs as a reference for specific edge cases, not a required reading checklist.

QREATE replaces the stack of single-purpose bots most servers end up running: moderation, welcomes, levels, tickets, giveaways and more, configured in one place. No code, and no five bots to keep in step.

1. Add the bot

  1. 1Open the dashboard at qreate.cloud/dashboard and sign in with Discord.
  2. 2Click the server picker (top-left) → Add a server.
  3. 3Select your target server and approve. QREATE asks only for the permissions its modules actually use, and the screen lists each one with the reason. It does not ask to be an administrator.
Tip. After adding the bot, drag the Qreate role near the top of your server's role list (Server Settings → Roles). Discord prevents the bot from managing or moderating any role placed above its own.

2. What each permission is for

Discord grants permissions once, when you add the bot, so QREATE asks for the full set its modules use up front. That is why a module works the moment you switch it on instead of failing and sending you back to re-invite:

  • Manage Channels — required for Tickets, Temp Voice, and deleted channel restoration.
  • Manage Roles — required for Welcome auto-roles, Leveling roles, and Verification gates.
  • Manage Messages — required for purge commands, rules publishing, and board moderation.
  • Move Members — required to transfer users in the Temp Voice helper.
  • Embed Links & Attach Files — required for rich logs, cards, and welcome embeds.

3. Prefer to stay in Discord?

You do not have to open the dashboard to get going. Run /setup and it walks you through three steps: what permissions the bot is missing and what that costs you, a starter set of modules to switch on (Essentials, Community, or everything), and then a list of exactly which channels and roles are still unset. Presets only turn modules on, so running one can never undo settings you already made.

/config is the panel behind it: pick a module, set its channels and roles with normal Discord pickers. It covers welcome, auto roles, logging, moderation, verification, tickets, leveling, reaction roles, starboard, temporary voice, automations and scheduled messages. /module status shows what is on, and /help lists every command grouped by what it is for.

Note. The dashboard is where the depth lives: custom messages, embeds, rules, per-role tuning and templates. /config covers the settings that decide whether a module works at all. It needs Manage Server, like /setup, /module and /q, so you can hand setup to a trusted moderator without making them an administrator. Discord hides these commands from anyone without that permission.

4. Enable your first modules

Get started by opening these three recommended modules from the sidebar pillars:

  • Welcome & Goodbye — Greet newcomers in #welcome using custom templates and dynamic variables like {user} and {memberCount}.
  • Moderation — Lock down a staff log channel, define who can warn, mute, or ban, and set up the /lockdown command.
  • Leveling — Encourage chat activity by distributing XP, configuring spam cooldowns, and automatically granting level roles.

Instead of configuring individual modules manually, you can also use Build with Q to design and deploy your entire server setup in one shot using natural language chat.

5. The sidebar pillars

QREATE's dashboard is organized into seven distinct pillars, each representing a product department fronted by a Q-crew mascot:

  • QREATE (*Artist Q* · pink) — Creation & engagement tools like Events, Giveaways, Polls, QAssets, Reaction Roles, and Suggestions.
  • QOMMUNITY (*Explorer Q* · green) — Growth & retention features like Achievements, Insights, Introductions, Leveling, Reputation, and Verification.
  • QHUB (*Gamer Q* · gold) — Competitive surfaces like LFG and matchmaking Challenges.
  • QARE (*Care Q* · blue) — Support & member intake including customized Forms & Applications and Tickets.
  • QONTROL (*Ninja Q* · red) — Control surfaces like Moderation, Auto Roles, Automations, Logging, Custom Commands, and Temp Voice.
  • QONNECT (*Astro Q* · cyan) — Social media feeds and mirrors for Twitch, X / Twitter, and YouTube.
  • QENTER (*Worker Q* · purple) — Platform utilities including server Analytics.

5. How to get help

If you hit a snag or want to request a feature, we have two primary channels to support you:

  1. 1Orbit Chat — Use the crew chat on the dashboard: Orbit is QREATE's built-in AI assistant that knows every module, can diagnose setup problems, and files your bug reports.
  2. 2`/report` Command — Run this directly in Discord to submit bug reports or feedback. E.g., /report kind:bug details:Welcome image does not load.
Note. QREATE is currently in open beta. All features are completely free with unlimited usage, and you can submit feedback instantly via the Beta HQ panel on the dashboard.
